Since the beginning of the year, I have been working on paintings for the "Feel" project.
In February, Russia invaded Ukraine. I could not stand aside and started working on drawings and paintings depicting the war, the fate of women there, their destinies, and stories. I also began conducting art therapy classes for children and women who fled from Ukraine.
By the summer, my work on the theme of war had left me greatly exhausted. Although I had returned to focusing on the 'Feel' project, I found myself unable to cease pondering the fate of women and the history of my family. The origins of my grandmother before the war and her survival as a young child amidst the loss of loved ones constantly occupy my thoughts.
I struggle to find a way to adequately express my emotions, which ultimately gave birth to the painting 'Out of the Dark.' It embodies a longing to escape the darkness, to embrace the light, to emerge as a liberated and resilient individual.

In this series, I used creased drawings as symbols of the fact that life is a white sheet of paper on which we write our story, but sometimes external events crumple and tear this sheet to shreds.

Throughout the year, I came across stories of women being raped by Russian soldiers. I did not stop thinking about the war, about the fate of women on earth, about weaknesses, strengths, and their possibilities of survival. I had questions inside me that I couldn't answer yet. This is how a reflective image was born: a woman's face emerging from the darkness, as if saying, 'I am here!'
